Now that you have registered for the exam, all you have to do is review, wait, and hope for the best. But before anything else, PinoySeoul is here to remind you with the important stuff that you need to know before the D-day!
The 87th TOPIK will be on April 9, 2023, Sunday and testing sites are yet to be announced but the Korean Culture Center of the Philippines (KCC), already released the time schedule for the exam takers.
The schedule depends on the TOPIK level you’re taking. Make sure to double check your slip to know your time of exam. It is also highly recommended to arrive at your testing center 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
Also double check your requirements you need to present to be able to take the exam. Have your application (confirmation slip), original copy of your valid ID with your photo, full name and birthdate, vaccination card issued by the government, correction tape, and your writing materials intact with you before going to the testing venue.
KCC is still strict with COVID-19 Health protocols and only fully vaccinated applicants can take the exam. When an applicant showed COVID-19 like symptoms, have a above normal body temperature (36.5℃-37.5℃), and positive for COVID-19 on the day of the exam, unfortunately, they cannot take the exam but COVID-19 positive applicants may submit their medical certificate before the testing date to get a 100% refund of their application fee.
In terms of answering the test questionnaire, you should answer the test using the two-side pen given to you at the testing site or else, your test will be invalidated. You are also only allowed to answer the questions on the given time. Phones and other electronic devices are not allowed and should be surrendered to the proctor before taking the exam. Violating this rule will get your test invalidated.
The exam may also not push through if there’s less than 10 applicants applied for each level (TOPIK I, II).
And in unforeseen circumstances, the exam might get postponed and with prior announcement, applicants can either opt for 100% refund of their application fee or wait for the next scheduled exam.
KCC posted the full guidelines on their website. Make sure to check them out before heading to the exam venue!
