The Philippines and Korea share a long history of friendship. From the 1950's Korean war to Super Typhoon Yolanda, Filipinos and Koreans walk hand in hand towards a brighter future for their respective countries. Every year, we celebrate this friendship through the Philippines-Korea Cultural Exchange Festival.
This Saturday marks the 27th year of the annual exchange of Filipino and Korean culture through talents. This year's theme, "Hand in Hand", encourages both nations to have a more active relationship with events that relate their colorful culture.
The first part of the festival is the annual showcase of talents of 20 teams of Filipinos and Koreans. Filipinos will be doing their performances in Koreans, and Koreans will do Filipino. The second part has an exciting line up of traditional performances from the Korea National Gugak Center and the Bayanihan of the National Folk Dance Company of the Philippines. Kpop fans are in for a treat as the idol group, BNF, SB19, Korean Duo Bless, Sherwin Sozon, and Dondi Ong will also be there to perform.
Booth activities of participating organizations and companies will also be available all day for attendees to enjoy.
